At PEAK, we provide a comprehensive childcare service that extends until 6:00 PM on every school day. To enroll your child, please complete the registration packet linked below and send it to peakenrichment@gmail.com.
Enrichment Program
Our Enrichment Program at Colfax Charter Elementary offers an exciting and well-rounded selection of classes that run five days a week, designed to inspire and prepare students for a bright future. From hands-on activities like LEGO engineering and ceramics to thought-provoking sessions in marine biology and chemistry, our program nurtures creativity, dexterity, and a love for learning. Each class is thoughtfully crafted to engage students in STEM, art, and critical thinking, while also building essential life skills like communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Whether they’re strategizing in chess, exploring the wonders of the ocean, or competing in a fun “Cupcake Wars” challenge, students will thrive in a safe, positive, and fun environment that encourages growth and discovery. Join us for an enriching after-school experience that equips your child with the tools they need to succeed!

Class Change & Drop Policy
If you’d like to switch your child into a different class, there’s a $25 charge fee per class.
If you decide to drop a class, a 3% fee applies to the original charge and another 3% fee applies to the refund transaction.
Thank you for understanding as these small fees help cover processing costs.

We are devoted to promoting the merits of chess among children by using stories, dances, and catchy songs to make the game of chess exciting and easy to understand. Children who participate in our program improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, improve their concentration and mental discipline, gain confidence, and have a great time!!! All students in the chess club receive an exclusive Academic Chess workbook, prizes for good sportsmanship, and participate in the "BIG TOURNAMENT" on the last day, where all kids take home a prize! New and experienced chess players are welcome! Children participating will be broken up into groups based on age and experience. Open to K - 5th grade students. Get ready for a colorful spring adventure! In this hands-on art class, students will create adorable bugs like butterflies, dragonflies, ladybugs, and more using bright polymer clay. Young artists will learn fun sculpting techniques like rolling, shaping, and designing while adding creative details such as sparkling wings, silly eyes, and rainbow patterns. Along the way, we’ll discover how these tiny critters help flowers grow and make spring so beautiful. At the end of each class, students will take home their own handmade clay bug masterpiece they’ll be excited to show off!scription text goes here

Learn how to hand sew and embroider with all new projects. First project, a hiking bag, teaches how to sew on a button. Following projects, a felt box, a charm band, bear/deer embroidery and a calico or polka dot chicken teaches all other stitches and skills. Sewing kit and all materials and supplies are provided.

Get ready to build, test, and invent! In Young Inventors Lab, students become creative engineers as they design amazing structures using everyday materials like clothespins, craft sticks, binder clips, cardboard, and rubber bands—no LEGOs needed! Young builders will explore how things balance, bend, stack, and connect while creating bridges, towers, water slides, and other exciting inventions. Each class brings a new hands-on challenge where students experiment, problem-solve, and work together to make their designs stronger, taller, and more creative. With plenty of imagination and teamwork, students will discover the fun of engineering while learning how real inventors turn simple ideas into incredible creations. Get ready to clip it, stick it, stack it, stretch it, and engineer it! -

Young Authors Lab gives students the opportunity to experiment with storytelling in a supportive and creative environment.
Through imaginative prompts, character creation, and group storytelling, students will learn how to develop ideas, express emotions, and build their own unique writing style. This weekly class encourages creativity, literacy, and confidence while making writing fun.

The Thursday class is for students’ grades 4th - 5th where they will learn the process of working with clay. Each student will sculpt, glaze, and bring home several one of a kind works of art. Welcome to Spy Academy, where TK through 5th grade students become real junior detectives! In this action-packed class, young investigators will dive into the fascinating world of spy science and mystery solving through hands-on experiments and secret missions. Students will analyze fingerprints like forensic experts, investigate bite-mark clues, test mysterious powders, and uncover hidden evidence to solve mini mysteries. They’ll also learn how spies communicate by cracking secret codes and sending hidden messages. Along the way, each student will create their own spy gear—including a pair of detective binoculars—to use during exciting investigation challenges. By the end of the class, every student will feel like a true undercover agent with the skills to observe clues, think critically, and crack the case!

In this deliciously fun enrichment class, TK through 5th grade students will turn everyday snacks into amazing works of art! Using colorful foods like fruit, vegetables, crackers, cereal, and pretzels, kids will design creative scenes such as sunny beaches, friendly lions, bright ocean fish, and cozy bird nests. As they build their edible pictures, students will explore shapes, colors, and textures while using their imagination and problem-solving skills. Each class becomes a hands-on adventure where food transforms into playful masterpieces. At the end, students can proudly show off their creations—and maybe even enjoy a tasty bite of their artwork!

About the Program
Our Welcome to Elementary School program is designed to help incoming TK students become familiar with campus and ease the transition into their first year of school. Over two fun-filled mornings, students will:
Explore important campus locations, including the cafeteria, bathrooms, library, and playground
Practice elementary school routines and procedures
Build social-emotional skills and learn strategies for making friends
Participate in engaging, age-appropriate activities led by Lanai staff
Gain confidence and reduce first-day jitters before school begins
This program is especially beneficial for students who are new to Lanai or entering school for the first time. By the end of the session, students will feel more comfortable navigating campus, connecting with peers, and starting the school year ready to learn and thrive.
Important Registration Information
Students enrolled in the program will be placed into groups led by members of the TK teaching team.
The maximum capacity for enrollment is 40 students.
Requests for specific teachers or classroom placements cannot be accommodated.
The registration deadline is July 31, 2026.

About the Program
Our Welcome to Second Grade program is designed to help students feel prepared, confident, and excited for the year ahead. Led by Lanai's Second Grade teachers, students will preview important academic concepts, practice classroom routines, and participate in activities that support both learning and social-emotional growth.
During the program, students will:
Explore the three major writing genres taught in Second Grade: Personal Narrative, Opinion Writing, and Informational/Expository Writing
Preview foundational reading, writing, and math concepts introduced during the first weeks of school
Practice classroom routines and become familiar with Second Grade expectations
Strengthen organizational and independent learning skills
Participate in daily Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) activities that build confidence, foster friendships, and support a smooth transition back to school
This program is an excellent opportunity for students to reconnect with peers, ease back into academic routines, and begin Second Grade feeling prepared, supported, and ready to learn.
Important Registration Information
Students enrolled in the program will be divided among the participating Second Grade teachers to ensure balanced class sizes and a positive learning experience for all students.
Requests for a specific teacher or classroom placement cannot be accommodated.
The deadline to register is July 31, 2026.
