At PEAK, we provide a comprehensive childcare service that extends until 6:00 PM on every school day. To enroll your child, please complete the registration packet linked below and send it to peakenrichment@gmail.com. Deadline for registration: 8/31/2025.

Enrichment Program

Our Enrichment Program at Colfax Charter Elementary offers an exciting and well-rounded selection of classes that run five days a week, designed to inspire and prepare students for a bright future. From hands-on activities like LEGO engineering and ceramics to thought-provoking sessions in marine biology and chemistry, our program nurtures creativity, dexterity, and a love for learning. Each class is thoughtfully crafted to engage students in STEM, art, and critical thinking, while also building essential life skills like communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Whether they’re strategizing in chess, exploring the wonders of the ocean, or competing in a fun “Cupcake Wars” challenge, students will thrive in a safe, positive, and fun environment that encourages growth and discovery. Class Change & Drop Policy

If you’d like to switch your child into a different class, there’s a $25 charge fee per class.
If you decide to drop a class, a 3% fee applies to the original charge and another 3% fee applies to the refund transaction.

Thank you for understanding as these small fees help cover processing costs.

We are devoted to promoting the merits of chess among children by using stories, dances, and catchy songs to make the game of chess exciting and easy to understand. Children participating in our program: Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Have better concentration and mental discipline; Gain confidence and have lots of FUN!!! All students in our chess club receive an exclusive Academic Chess workbook, prizes for good sportsmanship and participate in the “BIG TOURNAMENT” on the last day where all kids take home a prize! Step into a colorful world of imagination and expression! In this art adventure, students will explore drawing, painting, cartooning, sculpture, and abstract art while working with a variety of fun and exciting materials. Each week introduces a new artistic challenge, encouraging students to think creatively, experiment with different textures and tools, and express their ideas in unique ways.
From sketching whimsical cartoons to sculpting imaginative creations, students will learn to see the world through an artist’s eyes and develop their own signature style — one masterpiece at a time!

Learn how to hand sew ad embroider with Miss Shannon’s Sewing. First project teaches how to sew on a button. Following projects include a penguin, winter embroidery and gifts for family. Materials, supplies and sewing kit included.

LEGO Inventors Adventure
Have you ever imagined yourself as an inventor? In our LEGO class, you’ll step into the shoes of an engineer, architect, and explorer all at once! Design and test incredible bridges that can hold real weight, build sturdy dams to control the flow of “water,” and experiment with erupting LEGO volcanoes that rumble to life!
Launch a boat to see how it floats, craft a UFO ready for intergalactic flight, and even create a working zipline that sends mini-figures flying through the air! Discover how animals inspire inventions — from bird wings to robotic claws — and see how creativity and science go hand in hand.

Superhero Science!
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Superhero Science!
Step into a world where comic book adventures meet real-life discoveries. Ever wonder what powers Spider-Man shares with real spiders? Or which of Batman’s amazing gadgets actually exist? Get ready to uncover the science behind your favorite heroes!
In this action-packed class, we’ll build flying contraptions that soar through the sky, meet animals with super abilities, and tackle an epic superhero obstacle course where you’ll climb, crawl, and save the day just like the pros. To top it off, design your very own superhero costume to take home and show off your alter ego.
Up, up, and away — your scientific superpowers are about to take flight! 🚀

It is time to get messy! Miss Samantha's ceramic class is the place to create clay masterpieces that will last a lifetime. The Thursday class is for students’ grades 3rd - 5th where they will learn the process of working with clay. Each student will sculpt, glaze, and bring home several one of a kind works of art. Each student will learn a variety of ceramic techniques while adding their own personal creative touch to each piece. Let’s get muddy and have some fun! Questions: samantha.reffett.33@gmail.com

Crazy Chemistry Lab!
Get ready to dive into the wild world of chemistry — where science fizzes, pops, and explodes with fun! In this hands-on class, kids will experiment with acids and bases, mixtures, and mind-blowing reactions. Create your own bouncy rubber balls, lava bottles, and leak-proof bags. Discover how scientists can make nails safe to “eat” and even dissect a diaper to see what makes it so absorbent!
We’ll pump things full of air until they burst, test out chemical reactions that bubble and explode, and learn why bang snaps pop when they hit the ground. If you bring your curiosity, we’ll bring the explosions! 💥🧪

🍓 Snack Attack!
Get ready to tie on your apron and unleash your inner chef! In Snack Attack, students will step into the role of a junior sous chef as they whip up delicious, creative snacks each week. From building a colorful fruit parfait and filling crispy cannolis to designing their very own charcuterie board, every creation is both tasty and artistic.
Students will also craft ice cream sandwiches, make a beautiful fruit tart, and mix up a refreshing fruit salad — all while learning kitchen skills, teamwork, and the importance of presentation.
This hands-on culinary adventure blends creativity, flavor, and fun, giving kids the confidence to say, “I made this myself!”
