Enrichment Program

Our enrichment program for Wilbur Avenue Elementary families offers a dynamic and engaging selection of classes designed to foster creativity, build essential life skills, and ensure every child has a blast. Students can dive into the world of science with our Chemistry class, learn to play beautiful music in Piano lessons, or express themselves through Art and Sewing. Our Group Voice class helps students find their voice, while Cupcake Wars adds a dash of fun to the mix. For those interested in exploring nature, Marine Biology opens up the wonders of the ocean, and for active minds and bodies, Soccer, LEGO building, and Chess offer exciting challenges. Each class is crafted to promote communication, collaboration, and critical thinking in a fun and supportive environment. Join PEAK for an enriching after-school experience where your child can explore new interests and thrive!

Class Change & Drop Policy

  • If you’d like to switch your child into a different class, there’s a $25 charge fee per class.

  • If you decide to drop a class, a 3% fee applies to the original charge and another 3% fee applies to the refund transaction.

Thank you for understanding as these small fees help cover processing costs.

    Get ready for a wild adventure!
    In this exciting class, students will trek through rainforests, splash into wetlands, dive into oceans, roam the desert, and climb into mountain habitats all while discovering the incredible animals that live there. They’ll create rain clouds, test “blubber gloves” to see how ocean animals stay warm and explore how bugs use their super-cool mouthparts to survive.

    The creativity continues with art projects like drawing adorable armadillos, standing bears, sculpting clay polar bears, and painting colorful wetland scenes. This class is packed with discovery, imagination, and hands-on fun—perfect for any young animal explorer!

    An introduction to piano lessons with basic playing skills for beginner piano students! We will cover note reading, piano keys, finger numbers, music for right hand or left hand alone, counting beats, and music for two-hands. Students will learn music terms and rhythms through games.

    In each session, students are introduced to a variety of musical instruments, including piano, violin, cello, recorder, ukulele, guitar, xylophone, percussion, and more. Depending on the instrument, students may either share or have their own for the duration of the class. This program is ideal for children who wish to explore different instruments and discover their musical interests.

    Learn how to hand sew and embroider with all new projects.  First project, a bag with velvet trim teaches how to sew on a button.  All sewing stitches and skills are taught with easy and fun projects.  Projects include a fleece scarf with applique, tiny chicken, felt box, deer or bear image to embroider and a whale pillow.  All materials, supplies and sewing kit included.

    Come join Wilbur’s art teacher Ms. Schwartz for a fun after school art class, and have a blast while exploring creativity.

    This class gives kids a chance to sample a wide range of media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, collage and more!

    Pack your aprons and your passports—it's time for a global taste adventure!
    In this deliciously fun class, students will whip up amazing dishes from around the world, like warm oatmeal Bannocks from the UK, sweet Italian cannoli’s, fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, vibrant Greek salad, and zesty Pico de Gallo with guacamole from Mexico. As we cook, students will discover where each dish comes from and learn fun cultural facts along the way. This hands-on class invites young chefs to mix, create, taste, and explore exciting new flavors.
    Join us for a yummy journey that brings global cuisine to life one bite at a time!

    Ukulele and guitar are cheerful, versatile, and beginner-friendly instruments that open the door to a lifetime of music. In our lessons, students learn proper technique, strumming patterns, some chord progressions, and how to play songs from their very first class. Along the way, they’ll develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence while exploring a variety of musical styles. Whether aiming to perform or simply enjoy making music, ukulele and guitar offer a rewarding and enjoyable starting point for any musical journey

    Dive into an unforgettable underwater adventure! PEAK CLASS
    Students will get hands-on with real marine science as they dissect their very own squid, hold a 6-foot octopus, and hold a real shark.  They’ll even get to feel a realistic jellyfish texture, giving them the thrill without the sting!  
    But that’s only the beginning. We’ll uncover how many senses a shark has and explore how these incredible predators use them to hunt and examine its unique anatomy to understand why sharks are such powerful swimmers and skilled hunters.
    Dive in and discover a whole new world beneath the waves!

    Super Soccer Stars teaches soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive and educational environment. Through an age-specific curriculum, soccer is used to nurture, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork skills.     LEGO Inventors Adventure PEAK CLASS

    Get ready to bring your imagination to life—one brick at a time in our LEGO enrichment class! Students will build exciting creations like a spaceship, a Minecraft-inspired tool, challenge cars, and even a one-color game board. Each week offers a new hands-on engineering or design challenge that encourages creativity and problem-solving. Builders will explore patterns, colors, and unique techniques as they turn simple LEGO bricks into incredible projects. Join us and discover just how far your imagination can go—because in this LEGO world, you’re the master builder!

    We are devoted to promoting the merits of chess among children by using stories, dances, and catchy songs to make the game of chess exciting and easy to understand. Children participating in our program: Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Have better concentration and mental discipline; Gain confidence and have lots of FUN!!!  All students in our chess club receive an exclusive Academic Chess workbook, prizes for good sportsmanship and participate in the “BIG TOURNAMENT” on the last day where all kids take home a prize!
