Enrichment Program

Our enrichment program for Wilbur Avenue Elementary families offers a dynamic and engaging selection of classes designed to foster creativity, build essential life skills, and ensure every child has a blast. Students can dive into the world of science with our Chemistry class, learn to play beautiful music in Piano lessons, or express themselves through Art and Sewing. Our Group Voice class helps students find their voice, while Cupcake Wars adds a dash of fun to the mix. For those interested in exploring nature, Marine Biology opens up the wonders of the ocean, and for active minds and bodies, Soccer, LEGO building, and Chess offer exciting challenges. Each class is crafted to promote communication, collaboration, and critical thinking in a fun and supportive environment. Class Change & Drop Policy

If you’d like to switch your child into a different class, there’s a $25 charge fee per class.
If you decide to drop a class, a 3% fee applies to the original charge and another 3% fee applies to the refund transaction.

Thank you for understanding as these small fees help cover processing costs.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s – superhero science! What powers does Spiderman share with real spiders? Which of Batman’s high-tech gadgets exist in real life? Grab your cape and get ready for a super science investigation! We’ll fly up, up, and away as we create flying contraptions. Meet animals that share superpowers with Superman, climb and crawl like Spiderman through our superhero obstacle course, and make a cool costume to take home.

An introduction to piano lessons with basic playing skills for beginner piano students! We will cover note reading, piano keys, finger numbers, music for right hand or left hand alone, counting beats, and music for two-hands. Students will learn music terms and rhythms through games.

In each session, students are introduced to a variety of musical instruments, including piano, violin, cello, recorder, ukulele, guitar, xylophone, percussion, and more. Depending on the instrument, students may either share or have their own for the duration of the class. This program is ideal for children who wish to explore different instruments and discover their musical interests.

🍓 Snack Attack!
Get ready to tie on your apron and unleash your inner chef! In Snack Attack, students will step into the role of a junior sous chef as they whip up delicious, creative snacks each week. From building a colorful fruit parfait and filling crispy cannolis to designing their very own charcuterie board, every creation is both tasty and artistic.
Students will also craft ice cream sandwiches, make a beautiful fruit tart, and mix up a refreshing fruit salad — all while learning kitchen skills, teamwork, and the importance of presentation.
This hands-on culinary adventure blends creativity, flavor, and fun, giving kids the confidence to say, “I made this myself!” 🍪👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Ukulele and guitar are cheerful, versatile, and beginner-friendly instruments that open the door to a lifetime of music. In our lessons, students learn proper technique, strumming patterns, some chord progressions, and how to play songs from their very first class. Along the way, they’ll develop rhythm, coordination, and confidence while exploring a variety of musical styles. Whether aiming to perform or simply enjoy making music, ukulele and guitar offer a rewarding and enjoyable starting point for any musical journey

Crazy Chemistry Lab!
Get ready to dive into the wild world of chemistry — where science fizzes, pops, and explodes with fun! In this hands-on class, kids will experiment with acids and bases, mixtures, and mind-blowing reactions. Create your own bouncy rubber balls, lava bottles, and leak-proof bags. Discover how scientists can make nails safe to “eat” and even dissect a diaper to see what makes it so absorbent!
We’ll pump things full of air until they burst, test out chemical reactions that bubble and explode, and learn why bang snaps pop when they hit the ground. If you bring your curiosity, we’ll bring the explosions! 💥🧪

We are devoted to promoting the merits of chess among children by using stories, dances, and catchy songs to make the game of chess exciting and easy to understand.
