About the Program

Our Welcome to First Grade Summer Bridge Program is designed to help students ease back into school routines, strengthen foundational skills, and build excitement for the year ahead. Through engaging activities and hands-on learning experiences, students will become familiar with First Grade expectations while developing the confidence needed for a successful start to the school year.

During the program, students will:

Revisit important campus locations, including the cafeteria, bathrooms, library, and playground
Review school and classroom routines, expectations, and procedures
Strengthen social-emotional skills and build positive connections with peers
Develop confidence and independence as they prepare for First Grade

Students will also review and reinforce important academic skills in a fun and developmentally appropriate way:

Language Arts

• Phonics review

• Beginning reading fluency

• Reading comprehension strategies

Math

• Number sense and basic math skills

• Math fluency

• Foundational operations and problem-solving

This program is especially beneficial for students who are new to Lanai, while also providing returning students with an opportunity to refresh skills, rebuild confidence, and begin the year feeling prepared and excited to learn.

• The registration deadline is July 31, 2026
